“Your computer has been locked” is a notification of certain particular virus (ransomware) program that is supposedly originated by Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). The truth is that this application (desktop locker) has nothing in common with this governmental authority of Canada. The hackers use the good name of Royal Canadian Mounted Police as the way to scare users into thinking that it is some true warning from RCMP. Indeed, it is quite scary to get such notification when you don’t realize it is fake.
